- 1989 Study visit in Russia
- since 1990 freelance author and producer
- 1991-1992 Author und director (together with H.P.Böffgen) of three documentations about Siberia for the NDR
- 1993 Co-publisher and Co-author of the book „GULag-Zeichnungen“ published by „2001“, then completion of the documentary film “Zeichner des GULag“ (together with H.P.Böffgen); Co-publisher of the book „Zone - Fotografien aus den Straflagern Rußlands“ („ex pose Verlag“ Berlin)
- 1994 launching of „halbtotal Filmproduktion“
- 1996 Feature „Der strahlende Sarg“ about Tschernobyl, a commission production of Deutsche Welle TV and Bayerischer Rundfunk (together with Ulrich Rydzewski)
